Showroom Personnel

P.C. Richard & Son staffs its 65 Superstores with a showroom manager, merchandise manager(s), sales counselors and support personnel (office manager, customer service and stock associates). The training and development of new employees has been an integral part of our company's success. Extensive internal educational programs are held in our three state-of-the-art A.J. Richard Learning Centers located in Farmingdale N.Y., West Carteret N.J. and Bridgeport CT.

During the first two weeks of employment at P.C. Richard & Son, sales counselors attend a sales development and orientation class. These training programs, which are continually updated, educate employees in the company's operations, enable them to explain and demonstrate to customers the use and operation of the company's products, and help them develop good sales practices. In addition, manufacturer training and informational classes are held on a regular basis to keep sales personnel well informed about new products and the latest technology. In-store training is also held on a regular basis to allow for smaller focus groups, which may include manufacturers' representatives.

Distribution Centers

P.C. Richard & Son operates a 1 million square foot Distribution Center in Farmingdale, L.I. NY, a 330,000 square foot Regional Distribution Center in West Carteret, NJ, and a 100,000 square foot Regional Distribution Center in Bridgeport, CT. These facilities receive numerous inbound trailers of merchandise from manufacturers and suppliers on a daily basis. They are also responsible for restocking the company's 65 showrooms by transferring merchandise to each location to replenish their inventory.

Builder/Wholesale Sales Division

In addition to having 65 retail showrooms, P.C. Richard & Son operates a Builder and Wholesale Division based out of our three Corporate Offices in Farmingdale, NY, West Carteret, NJ, and Bridgeport, CT.

The Builder Division sells major appliances and electronics exclusively to builders, contractors, landlords and management companies throughout the tri-state area.

The Long Island Appliance Wholesale (LAW) Division sells appliances and electronics to small independent dealers and retailers at wholesale prices throughout the tri-state area.

Mobile Entertainment Installation Centers

There are currently 44 installation centers located in selected showrooms for mobile entertainment including car audio, mobile video, remote starters, security systems and GPS.

Product Repair Center

P.C. Richard & Son has a unique 40,000 square foot state-of-the-art Product Repair Center located next to our Corporate Headquarters in Farmingdale, NY and a 20,000 square foot Repair in West Carteret, NJ. Within these facilities, the company maintains a Service and Repair Department for every brand of appliance, television and electronic products it sells, staffed by our very own factory authorized trained technicians.

Advertising

In conjunction with our extensive marketing efforts, P.C. Richard & Son operates a full service in-house Advertising Department. All television, radio, internet and print advertising including creative design and layout, and all in-store visual merchandising materials, is created and produced through this department.

Human Resources

The Human Resources Department serves a variety of functions within P.C. Richard & Son and is designed to deal with all aspects of employee relations in the company. All areas of the employment process, training and development, compensation, payroll, benefits administration, implementation and upholding of company policies and procedures, performance management, employee record retention, separation, labor law compliance and workplace health, safety and security are handled within the umbrella of the Human Resources Department.

Customer Call Center

In our Customer Call Center, we have our very own telephone representatives who answer over 4000 customer calls daily and set up in-home service appointments for appliance and electronic product repairs. They also answer questions related to the P.C. Richard & Son credit card, our delivery quick check program, and all other questions about the company. All Call Center representatives are devoted to fulfilling our customer's needs and solving their problems effectively and in a timely manner to guarantee complete customer satisfaction.

Installations

P.C. Richard & Son offers professional installation on major appliances, air conditioners, televisions and audio/video products that are purchased from any of our 65 showrooms. We install over 750 products each day within the tri-state area. All installations are scheduled and coordinated by the Installation Department located within our Farmingdale, West Carteret or Bridgeport Distribution Centers.

Merchandising

The P.C. Richard & Son Merchandising Team purchases all products that are sold in our showrooms. We stock and sell merchandise within a wide range of price points to accommodate all our customer needs.
