Job Requirements of EDI Specialist:
Qualifications & Experience
- 3+ years of experience working with EDI systems using Trusted Link for i (TLi).
- Working knowledge of EDI standards such as ANSI X12.
- Extensive knowledge of IBM i operating system, RPG Free and CL programming.
- Experience using Rational Developer for i (RDi) and/or Visual Studio Code (VS Code).
- Understanding of communication protocols such as FTP, SFTP and AS2.
- Experience with business systems integration (ERP, WMS, and other various back-office systems).
- Proven troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact across all organizational levels and with external trading partners.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Soft Skills
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem resolution skills.
- Proactive, able to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as on a team.
- Ability to quickly learn new concepts and technologies.
- Great organizational skills and can manage a heavy and fast-changing workload.
- Strong written skills, and experience writing technical documents for IT peers and for end-users.
- Available to work weekends and after-hours on occasion as needed.
Monday - Friday 9am-5pm on premises
Salary Range: $90k-$130k

Welcome to the IT Department at PC Richard and Son! We’re seeking a talented and motivated EDI Specialist with development experience on IBM i using Trusted Link for i (TLi). The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting and maintaining electronic data interchange (EDI) processes, collaborating with internal departments and external trading partners, and ensuring seamless integration between business systems. Strong technical expertise and communication skills are essential for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain EDI systems, with a primary focus on Trusted Link for i (TLi) on an IBM i computer platform.
- Develop, monitor, and troubleshoot EDI transactions (ANSI X12) that include purchase orders, invoices, ASNs, sales, inventory and other common document types.
- Collaborate with business and technical teams to map and test EDI transactions and integrations.
- Support onboarding of new trading partners and maintain existing partner relationships.
- Ensure compliance with trading partner specifications and industry standards.
- Monitor daily EDI processes and proactively resolve any transmission or data integrity issues.
- Serve as a liaison between technical teams, business users, and external partners to ensure clear communication and issue resolution.
- Develop, maintain and troubleshoot business applications on IBM i using CL and RPG Free programming languages.
