Warehouse Shift Supervisor

Overall Purpose of the Role:

Assist the Warehouse Manager in maintaining the smooth operation of a fast-moving environment. Responsible for the day to day management of employees within the warehouse function to ensure company's targets and objectives are met to satisfy our customer needs. 

The Warehouse Shift Supervisor position includes, but is not limited to:

•  Provide a safe working environment, adhering to Health and Safety procedures and ensuring they are understood and practiced by the team at all times
• Plan, coordinate and monitor the receipt, storage and dispatch of merchandise
• Ensure orders are processed efficiently and that the delivery of materials meets customer’s times frame requirements
• Supervise and control order picking to ensure accuracy with minimal handling and to avoid merchandise damage
• Coaching employees and using corrective action in compliance with Company Policy and the Union Collective Bargaining Agreement
• Oversee any planned maintenance of vehicles, machinery and equipment
• Responsible for housekeeping standards and continuous improvement within the warehouse
• Monitor and maintain stock accuracy by ensuring the physical stock is in line with the warehouse management system and ensure all stock movements are recorded to ensure accuracy
• Ensure employees are adequately trained and competent within their role to ensure operational functionality
